NutriCore is a nutrition, training, health coaching, and social app. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, who can see it (including a human coach you choose and other members on Timeline), how it is processed (including by our NutriCoach), and the control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, contact us at mohamed.alkooheji@nutricoreapp.com.
1. Data we collect
We collect the following data to run the features you use:
- Account data: email address, authentication identifiers, language preference, and app settings.
- Identity: your first and last name, username, and profile photo. If you use NutriCore as a coach and choose to verify your identity, the result of that check: it is carried out by a specialist verification provider or by NutriCore, and we record whether it passed. Where a provider runs the checks of your identity document and selfie, we receive the result, not your identity document or selfie.
- Date of birth and country: every new account gives a date of birth, and you choose the country your account belongs to. We do not work out your country from your device, network, or language.
- Profile & goals: sex, height, weight history, activity level, goal weight, and target rate of change.
- Nutrition data: logged foods, meals, recipes, portion sizes, calorie and macro targets, and Flex Bank balances.
- Training data: plans, workouts, logged sets, weights, sport and activity sessions, and session notes. If you record an outdoor run, walk, hike, or ride with GPS, the route you record.
- Health & wellbeing data: metrics such as steps, energy expenditure, heart rate, sleep, body measurements, and (where you choose to use it) menstrual cycle information.
- Interests: the sports, training styles, activities, nutrition styles and fitness goals you choose as your interests (during setup, in Settings → Interests, or by telling NutriCoach), and when and how each was added or removed. We also work out which of these topics your own records suggest, from the workouts and activities you log, the training blocks you follow, the cardio you prefer and the goal and eating style you have set, and which kinds of food you log (for example seafood or grilled), from the names and categories of the foods you log, as topics only. Your interest profile in Settings → Interests also shows topics from your own Timeline activity, and you can remove any topic there. Interests are limited to sports, training, activity, nutrition style and fitness goals: we never create an interest about health conditions, religion, politics, sexuality or any other sensitive subject.
- Human coaching data: if you use human coaching, your conversations with a coach before and during a coaching relationship (including attachments), coaching invitations and requests, and the prescriptions and check-ins created within the relationship; and, if you coach, your coach profile (headline, biography, sports, specialties, languages, years of experience, and whether you are listed and accepting new athletes) and the credentials you add (their type, title, issuer, dates and any reference number you give).
- Timeline data, only if you join Timeline: your Timeline display name, bio, and public or private setting; your posts, with their photos, videos, and captions, and the workouts you share; your likes, comments, follows, and follow requests; your Timeline messages; and how you interact with posts and accounts on Timeline (section 6).
- Safety data: the accounts you block, the reports you make about Timeline accounts, posts, comments, or messages, and any concern you report to us about a coach profile, a conversation before coaching, a coaching request or invitation, or a coach's or athlete's conduct.
- Content you submit: meal photos, barcode and nutrition-label scans, chat messages and voice notes to NutriCoach, attachments, and support tickets.
- Technical data: device and app version, crash and error diagnostics, and basic usage events used to keep the app reliable.
2. How we use your data
- To calculate your calorie and macro targets, training load, and progress trends.
- To check that you are eligible for human coaching, which is available only from 18, and to take your age into account in your nutrition target calculations. Both use your date of birth.
- To personalise the app, for example by ranking foods sold in your country higher in food search.
- To show your history, streaks, reviews, and coaching insights over time.
- To provide personalised NutriCoach guidance based on what you have logged.
- To give a human coach you accept the coaching-relevant information described in section 5, while that coaching relationship is active.
- To run Find a Coach, coaching requests and invitations: to show a coach's profile to other members, and to share with the other person what section 5 says a request, an invitation, a conversation before coaching or a search by username shows.
- To show what you share on Timeline to other members, according to your Timeline privacy setting (section 6).
- To order what we offer you by your interests: Quick Workouts shows the sports you chose first, then the ones your own training suggests, and NutriCoach knows the sports and training you said you are into and up to three that your logged training suggests (and, only if you turn it on, your interest topics: see “Interests in NutriCoach” in section 4). Your interests never change your calorie or macro targets, your training plan or programme, your goal or your diet; those change only when you or your coach change them.
- Now and then, when your own training suggests your interests have changed, we may ask you once whether to add or keep a topic (for example “Add padel to your interests?”). A topic becomes one of your interests only when you say so. You can answer, decline or ask us later, and a declined question is not asked again for a while.
- To order your own Timeline feed and suggest accounts you may want to follow (section 6).
- To send the notifications and reminders you have enabled, and the notices about your coaching that we send whatever those settings, such as a coach's invitation to coaching, which is shown in the app and emailed to your verified address. Timeline activity is shown only inside the app: we never send it by email or push notification.
- To keep the service and its members safe: to review reports, apply blocks, prevent abuse, and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your health, nutrition, or wearable data for advertising.
3. Health and wearable data
Connecting a wearable or health platform (currently Garmin or Fitbit) is always optional and requires your explicit authorisation. When you connect a provider:
- We request only the scopes needed for the metrics shown in the app, such as activity, energy expenditure, heart rate, sleep, and body composition.
- Access tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are used solely to sync your data into your own account.
- Wearable data is treated as sensitive health data. It is visible to you, to NutriCoach when it answers your questions, and, while a coaching relationship you accepted is active, to your human coach where it is relevant to coaching (section 5). It is never shown on Timeline.
- You can disconnect a provider at any time from Settings → Connected devices. Disconnecting revokes our access; you may also delete the synced metrics from your account in Settings → Privacy & data.
- We never share wearable or health data with third parties for marketing, profiling, or resale.
4. NutriCoach
NutriCoach answers questions and can propose actions such as logging a meal or adjusting a plan. To do that, a relevant snapshot of your data, for example recent nutrition logs, workouts, goals, and health metrics, is sent to our AI processing provider along with your message and any attachments you add. That provider is the Lovable AI Gateway, which passes each request to a model from OpenAI or Google. Voice notes you record for NutriCoach are sent to the same provider to be turned into text.
- The same provider also receives your data for NutriCore's other AI features: the daily assessment and advice on your Home screen, reading the meal photos and nutrition labels you scan, building and revising the training plans you ask for, reviewing the notes you add to a finished workout, the support assistant, and summarising the answers you give in a feedback survey for the NutriCore team. For accounts in a limited trial, your message and a few counts from your recent activity are also sent to TypeSafe, a separate AI provider, to decide how NutriCoach responds.
- Changes NutriCoach suggests to your logs, targets, or plans are shown for review and only applied when you approve them. During setup, the answers you give NutriCoach are saved to your profile as you go, so you do not have to enter them twice.
- Conversations are stored in your account so you can revisit them, and you can delete them in Settings → Privacy & data.
- NutriCoach and NutriCore's other AI features never read your Timeline profile, posts, comments, likes, follows, or messages. The only thing from Timeline that can reach NutriCoach is interest topic names, and only if you turn that on (next point).
- Interests in NutriCoach (only if you turn it on): if you turn on “Let NutriCoach use my interests” in Settings → Interests (it is off unless you turn it on), NutriCoach can use your interest topics, for example padel, running or grilled food, to choose examples, workout ideas and meal ideas for you, in chat and in the check-in messages it sends you. These topics come from the interests you choose, your own training and the sports you have told us you prefer, the kinds of food you log, and your own activity on Timeline: your posts, the topics you search for, and the posts and hashtags you like, save, comment on, open or spend time on, including whether you mostly like and save short videos or photos. NutriCoach receives only topic names and whether each is a strong interest of yours, never your posts, captions, likes, comments, other people or messages, and never the foods, amounts, calories or macros you log. Interests never change your calorie or macro targets. You can see, remove or add topics in Settings → Interests, and turning this off stops it straight away. We keep a record of when you turned it on or off, which is deleted with your account.
- NutriCoach provides general fitness and nutrition guidance. It is not medical advice, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.
Improving NutriCore and NutriCoach
NutriCore may use information about how you use the service to maintain, evaluate and improve its features and NutriCoach. Where permitted by applicable law and your privacy choices, this may include analysing interactions and feedback to improve AI guidance. Any use of private coaching conversations or health information for shared AI improvement will be subject to the specific consent and safeguards required by applicable law. We do not publicly disclose your private information for these purposes.
- What we use today: a record of each run of an AI feature (your account, the feature and model, how much text was processed, how long it took, whether it succeeded and, if not, a short error description); your feedback survey answers, which are sent with your name and counts of your recent activity in the app (such as how many workouts, food logs and NutriCoach messages you have recorded) to the AI processing provider described above to be summarised, and the summary is emailed to the NutriCore team; and a copy of each message you send to NutriCoach (including during a workout) together with its reply.
- Who can see it: authorised NutriCore staff, where needed to investigate errors, review the quality of NutriCoach's answers, provide support or keep the service secure. This includes reading those copies and exporting excerpts of NutriCoach conversations (up to the first 500 characters of each message) for review.
- Service providers: no provider beyond those named in this policy. Copies of your conversations are not sent to any provider for this purpose.
- Retention: the copies of NutriCoach messages and replies are deleted by the daily cleanup once the records are more than 90 days old, or sooner if you delete your account. Records of each run of an AI feature are kept without a fixed deletion date; when you delete your account they are no longer linked to you.
- What we do not do: we do not use your private NutriCoach conversations or your health information to train AI models or for shared AI improvement. NutriCoach does not learn from your conversations to change what it tells other people.
- Your choices: you can delete conversations in Settings → Privacy & data (a copy kept for error and quality review is still deleted by the daily cleanup once it is more than 90 days old), and you can delete your account (section 9).
5. Human coaching
Human coaching is available only when both the athlete and the coach are 18 or over, and so are the conversations a coach and an athlete have before a coaching relationship begins. A coaching relationship begins only when an athlete accepts a coach's invitation or confirms a coaching request the coach has accepted, and before you accept or confirm, NutriCore shows you what that coach will be able to see.
- Find a Coach: if you are a coach and choose to be listed, your coach profile (the headline, biography, sports, specialties, languages and experience you add, any credential NutriCore has marked as reviewed, with your name, username, and profile photo, and whether your identity is verified) can be seen by signed-in NutriCore members while you are listed, and by athletes who have sent you a coaching request, received your invitation, or are coached by you. Whether or not you are listed, members aged 18 or over can find a coach by username, and see the coach's name, username, profile photo, and whether their identity is verified. If you send a coach a coaching request, your name, username, profile photo, and message are shared with that coach. The request is not deleted if you withdraw it, or if it is declined or expires, and that coach may still be able to see it, with your current name, username, and profile photo. If a coach invites you within NutriCore, that coach sees the name and username on your account (which may differ from the name you use on Timeline), never your email address, and you see the coach's name, username, and profile photo. Because such an invitation can be sent only to an athlete account aged 18 or over that is not suspended from NutriCore as a whole, where neither of you has blocked the other, a coach may be able to tell from whether it can be sent that an account meets those conditions. If you turn on Coaches can find me, coaches can find you by username and see your name, username, and profile photo, and can write to you first. In a conversation before coaching, each of you sees the other's name and username as recorded on the account, profile photo, and the messages you exchange. Beyond what this bullet describes, a request or an invitation gives nobody access to your records.
- While the relationship is active, your coach can see the coaching-relevant information described in Section 8.2 of the Terms & Conditions: your profile basics (including your name, username, profile photo, age, and height), body weight and measurements, nutrition targets and food logs, training plans, completed workouts and their history, progress and check-ins, and stored performance, recovery, and connected-device data relevant to coaching.
- Your coach cannot see your password or sign-in details, your conversations with NutriCoach, free-text notes you record for yourself that the app marks as private, or the map of a GPS route you record.
- Messages and attachments you exchange with a coach are visible to both of you and kept as part of the coaching relationship. NutriCoach does not read what your coach creates for you unless your coach has expressly allowed it, which is off by default.
- Ending the relationship stops your coach's access immediately. It does not delete your own records.
6. Timeline
Every NutriCore account includes the social space. Your social profile is private unless you choose to make it public. Social profiles are visible to signed-in NutriCore members; your posts follow the privacy setting you choose.
- What other members can see: the display name you choose for Timeline, your username, profile photo, Timeline bio, whether your profile is public or private, whether your account is an athlete or a coach account, and your follower, following, and post counts.
- Public or private: if your profile is public, other members can also see your posts (photos, videos, captions, and shared workouts) and who you follow and who follows you. If it is private, only the followers you approve can see them. A like or comment you add to another person's post can be seen by everyone who can see that post.
- Your private data stays private: a public Timeline profile does not make your other NutriCore data public. Your body weight and measurements, nutrition logs and targets, steps, wearable data, recovery, Performance data, training history, coaching records, your conversations with NutriCoach and with a human coach, coach notes, and coaching engagement data are never shown on Timeline. Only what you publish to Timeline becomes Timeline content: Share to Timeline posts a summary card of the one workout you choose, and you see that card in full before you share it.
- For you and suggestions: when For you is available, Timeline has two feeds. Following shows posts from you and the accounts you follow, newest first. For you mixes those posts with posts from public accounts, ordered for you. We order For you using:
- the interests you have chosen, and topics you added to For you from a Timeline suggestion;
- what you do on Timeline: the posts you like, comment on, open, spend time reading, hide or mark Not interested, the hashtags you open, the accounts you follow, visit from a post, mute or dismiss from suggestions, and the posts we have already shown you;
- what each post is about, worked out from its hashtags and caption words and, for a shared workout, its summary card. This is done by fixed rules, never by an AI model reading posts;
- how recent a post is and how much interest it is getting from other members, counted in totals that never identify anyone.
Suggested accounts are public accounts that have posted recently, suggested for the topics you chose that they post about, because people you follow follow them, because you have interacted with their posts, or because they post regularly. Accounts you follow, have muted or have blocked, and accounts that have blocked you, are never suggested, and an account you dismiss is not suggested again for a long while. We never tell anyone who follows whom beyond what the accounts' own settings already show, and a suggestion never names or counts people.
- What is never shown: the reason line on a recommended post names only an interest you chose or added to For you (“Because you're interested in padel”), a topic the post is popular in (“Popular in running”), or says “Suggested for you”. Nobody else can see why a post was shown to you, what your interests are, or what you interacted with, and we never show another member any of it.
- What For you never uses: your body data, nutrition targets, the foods, amounts, calories, macros and meal times you log and your individual food entries, health and wearable data, coaching records, conversations with NutriCoach or a human coach, and your Timeline messages. The only thing from your food logging that For you can use is the kinds of food you log, as topic names, and only if you turn that on (next point). Your Timeline activity is never given to any NutriCore AI feature, except as interest topic names to NutriCoach if you turn on “Let NutriCoach use my interests” (section 4), and it never changes the interests you chose: adding a topic to For you changes Timeline only.
- Your training and food in For you (only if you turn it on): in Settings → Interests you can choose to let For you also use, as topics to rank posts for you, the sports and activities your own training suggests (from the workouts, activities and training blocks you log and the sports and cardio you have told us you prefer), the goal you have set, the eating style you have set and the kinds of food you log (food categories only, for example “seafood”, “grilled” or “Gulf dishes”, worked out from the names and categories of the foods you log). It is off unless you turn it on; accepting our Terms or setting up your account never turns it on. Only topic names are used (for example “running” or “plant-based”). Your body measurements, the foods you log, amounts, calorie and macro values, meal times, individual food entries, individual workout records, dates, health, recovery and wearable data, conversations with NutriCoach, and anything from a human coach or your coaching are never used for this or sent to Timeline. If you turned this on before 15 October 2026, it covers your training, goal and eating style only: the kinds of food you log are used only after you confirm the new wording in Settings → Interests. These topics are never shown to you as the reason for a post, and nobody else can see them or this setting. You can turn it off at any time in the same place; this stops the use straight away, and leaving Timeline turns it off. A topic you remove from your interest profile is no longer used. We keep a record of when you turned it on or off, and of your answer if we asked you about food, which is deleted with your account.
- Your controls: change your interests at any time in Settings → Interests. In For you, you can choose Not interested on a post to see fewer posts like it. On other members' posts in your Timeline feeds you can use Hide where available, which removes that post from your For you and Following feeds and from Reels, and you can Mute an account so its posts leave your feeds; the account is not told and you continue following it unless you separately unfollow. Muted accounts are listed in Timeline settings with Unmute. The Following tab is always available and shows posts newest first, without any personalised ordering.
- Photos and videos: Timeline photos and videos are published without their embedded location and camera details. Photos are rewritten without that metadata, and a video that still carries location or other metadata is not accepted.
- Messages: Timeline messages are text only and can be exchanged only between members who follow each other. They are visible only to the two people in the conversation, are not shared with a coach, are not part of any coaching conversation, and are never processed by NutriCore's AI features. As with all Timeline content, we may review a message that is reported to us.
- Notifications: new followers, follow requests, likes, comments, and messages on Timeline are shown only inside the app. We never send them by email or push notification. Activity items you have read are deleted once they are more than 90 days old.
- Reports: you can report an account, post, comment, or Timeline message. A report keeps a copy of what was reported (its text, and which photos or video it included) so it can be reviewed. NutriCore moderators may view the photos or video of a reported post, and each viewing is recorded. Moderators can remove content and suspend an account from Timeline; a suspension stays with the NutriCore account, even if the person leaves Timeline.
- Timeline and coaching: following someone on Timeline gives them no access to your coaching or account data, and a coaching relationship gives a coach no access to a private Timeline profile.
- Leaving Timeline: you can leave Timeline at any time in Timeline settings. Leaving takes effect immediately and deletes your Timeline profile, posts (with their photos and videos), comments, likes, follows, and the Timeline messages you sent. Your blocks, any Timeline suspension, and the reports you made stay with your NutriCore account.
7. Blocking
You can block another account from Timeline or from a conversation you have before coaching begins. It is one block for your whole NutriCore account, and you can review and undo your blocks in Settings → Blocked accounts. While a block is in place, in both directions:
- neither of you can see the other's Timeline profile or posts, follow the other or send a follow request, send a Timeline message, or like or comment on the other's posts. Blocking also removes any follows between you, and the other person's likes and comments on your posts;
- neither of you can find the other in coaching search, send the other a message before coaching, send a new coaching request or invitation, or accept a pending one.
A block does not end a coaching relationship that is already active: that relationship continues until one of you ends it with End Coaching. The person you block is not told. A block does not remove a coaching request or a conversation before coaching that already exists between you: each of you can still see it, with the other's current name, username, and profile photo, and an athlete can still see the coach's profile with a request they sent. A block stays in place until you unblock, even if either of you leaves Timeline, and ends if either account is deleted.
8. Storage, security, and retention
Your data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure, which may be located outside your country of residence. Access is restricted by database rules: your records are available to your own account, and beyond that as this policy describes: to our AI processing provider (section 4), to a human coach you accept while that relationship is active (section 5), to other members for what a coach profile, a search by username for a coach or (if you turn on Coaches can find me) for an athlete, a conversation before coaching, a coaching request, or an invitation shows (section 5), to other Timeline members for what you share on Timeline (section 6), to the identity verification provider if you verify your identity as a coach (section 1), to the providers that host NutriCore, send its emails and push notifications, and receive its error reports, and to authorised NutriCore staff where needed to provide support, keep the service secure, review reports, carry out the identity check a coach asks for (or withdraw its result), and review the credentials a coach adds, and to public authorities where the law requires us to disclose it. We may also access, review, keep, or disclose communications between members where reasonably necessary to investigate a report of misconduct, protect a person's safety, enforce our Terms & Conditions, or comply with the law (Terms & Conditions, Section 10).
We retain your data while your account is active, except that Timeline activity items you have read are deleted once they are more than 90 days old, and a GPS recording that was started but never finished is deleted 30 days after it was last updated. Personalization records are kept for limited periods: the log of what we showed you on Timeline is deleted after 45 days, the log of your Timeline interactions used for ordering after 90 days, and feed request records after 30 days. The Timeline topic scores built from your activity fade over a few weeks and are deleted when you leave Timeline or delete your account. Your chosen interests and the topics your training suggests are kept while your account is active and deleted with it; the history of changes to your interests keeps at most your 500 most recent changes. The food topics worked out from what you log look back at most 120 days, are recalculated at most every 12 hours and are deleted with your account, and so are the topics you removed from your interest profile. The records of when you turned “Use my training and food in For you” and “Let NutriCoach use my interests” on or off are kept while your account is active and deleted with it. Account deletion is described in section 9.
9. Your rights and account deletion
You can access and correct your data in the app. In Settings → Privacy & data you can download a copy of your profile, body, nutrition, training, activity, and health records and your NutriCoach conversations, and delete categories of them. The download does not include everything we hold: Timeline content and human coaching records, for example, are not part of it yet. To ask for a copy of data the download does not include, contact us.
You can request deletion of your account in Settings → Danger zone. A 30-day period then applies, during which your account continues to work (except Timeline, which you cannot use while the request stands) and you can cancel the request at any time; signing in again does not cancel it. When the period ends, your account and the data associated with it are deleted, including your Timeline data, your blocks, and the reports you made. A limited set of records is kept with your identity removed, so that it no longer identifies you: security and error logs, records of the operation of the service, food items you contributed to the shared food catalogue that other users' records depend on, support conversations, product feedback, and records of reports and moderation decisions about you or content you posted. If you coach on NutriCore, deleting your account ends your active coaching relationships, and your athletes keep a record that the relationship existed and ended, with your identity removed. Deletion cannot be undone once the period has ended.
If you cannot access the app, email mohamed.alkooheji@nutricoreapp.com from your registered address to make the request. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
10. Age and eligibility
NutriCore does not set one minimum age for everyone. You may use NutriCore only where the law that applies to you permits it, and where that law requires the consent or authorisation of a parent or legal guardian, you confirm when you create your account that it has been obtained (Terms & Conditions, Section 2.1). Every new account gives a date of birth.
Human coaching is available only when both the athlete and the coach are 18 or over. Timeline is the same for every eligible account.
If you believe an account is being used by someone who is not legally permitted to use NutriCore, or without a consent the law requires, contact us at mohamed.alkooheji@nutricoreapp.com to let us know. We may restrict or close the account.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
